We're proud to announce that we relaunched Shazon today. If you have been following us, you know we removed Shazon from the Android Marketplace a little over a month ago when Amazon told us to stop sending people to their network through the use of their Affiliate/Advertising API.
The good news is that we've taken the opportunity to build a much better application based on our initial concept of making it easy to answer the question: "How much does this thing really cost?"
Here's a rundown on the capabilities of Shazon version 1.3:
1. Scanning of Product UPC and ISBN codes. Scanning is much faster now.
2. Searching by entering a text description.
3. NEW: Gives results from multiple Web retailers
4. NEW: Sorts results from lowest to highest price
5. NEW: Ability to send email with a link to a product to send to a friend or to buy/review later yourself
6. NEW: Ability to choose default item click through behaviors: send email, launch a web browser
7. NEW: Indication of whether an item being sold is New or Used
And as always, Shazon has privacy features built-in to protect your shopping experience.
