Shazon is a application you install on your Android phone. If you don't have Shazon yet, get it here.
1. Run Shazon by clicking on the Shazon Android Icon

2. Scan a bar code on a product you want to purchase. The barcode needs to be centered in the box with the red line running across it. Hold it steady so that the camera can focus. You can scan a book (as we show here) or any product bar code.

3. Wait for Shazon to find prices it has found at various web retailers. The thumbnail shows a green line on the spot where it was able to read the barcode. In this example, it is pretty close to where the red "scanner" line was, but it doesn't have to be.

4. Once Shazon has found the price, it will display a list of all the items it has found, along with their price range. Click on the item to go directly to the retailer with the price that was found.

5. Now that you are viewing the product at the target retailer - which in this case is the Amazon web site, you can read reviews, buy it, or add it to your wish list.
