Version 1
Our Commitment to Privacy
Shazon understands that all information about you should be kept strictly confidential. Any information that Shazon collects is stated in this policy and, in most cases, can be controlled by you. This policy may change from time to time; any updates will be clearly noted on our website at http://www.shazon.com/privacy.
Information Collected by Shazon
Our website can be freely used without logging in (i.e. without submitting a username or password). At your sole discretion, you may create a login account with a username and password. Some features on the Shazon website may be made available to those users with a login in the future.
The Shazon application never reads your phone number in any operations that it performs. It does, however, send your phone's device id (a random number assigned by the manufacturer) to the Shazon server. We have no way to trace the device id to you, but it does allow us to monitor usage trends (such as "most people use Shazon six times per day"). If you do not want us to collect this information, you should turn on the "anonymous searches" preference in the application.
When you select a product from the result list, the Shazon application opens a third party web page in your phone's browser. The application does not submit any information about you or your phone to the third party web site, but it usually sends information that indicates Shazon opened the page.
Information Protection
Any and all information that Shazon collects is never shared with any third parties. It is used solely in the operation of the Shazon web site and application. Shazon uses industry best practices to secure any information that you choose to share as part of your use of the web site and application.
